An interview with ex-Ram Martin Albrechtsen: NO REGRETS

”I’m not angry with Nigel Clough or anyone else with the club,” Martin Albrechtsen says. “Derby thought I was too expensive to keep and so they let me go. That’s it. Maybe I should’ve stayed with West Bromwich instead of signing with the Rams but I can’t do it over so I don’t think about it and I hold no grudge.”

Let’s face it. Derby aren’t out of trouble yet. But the appointment of Nigel Clough as Derby’s new manager makes most of us hope that the sins, or rather the wins of the father are the wins of the son and that this is the beginning of a new great era. When I called Morten Bisgaard today he hadn’t heard the news. Billy Davies had stepped down in what is labelled as a departure in mutual consent. Morten was actually quite stunned when he heard the news – but then looked to the future and re-claimed his belief in the survival of the Rams as a Premier League team.
